OUR CLASSES 

HERE TO EDUCATE AND TRAIN

Nursing Navigators and Provider Professionals provides an array of DODD approved curriculum courses. In every class, our instructors emphasize the strategies and processes with hands-on training, creating a unique opportunity to prepare our students to provide direction, training and assurance to those caring for individuals with developmental disabilities.

CAT 1

Category 1 certification allows personnel to administer oral, topical, and inhaled medications, as well as 13 health-related activities if they have been prescribed for a person. â€‹

  • Initial Course - 2 day, 14 hour of classroom instruction and demonstration

  • $125/participant ​

 

  • Annual Renewal - Category 1 certification is renewed every year and requires a 3-hour class, and demonstration of skills.

  • $50/participant ​

CAT 2

Category 2 Certification teaches personnel to administer medications through a Gastrostomy or Jejunostomy (G/J) tube.  A Category 1 certification must be valid and current in order to obtain a Cat 2.

  • Initial Cat 2 Course - 4 hour classroom instruction and demonstration

  • $75/participant

  • Annual Renewal - Category 2 certification is renewed every year and requires a 1.5-hour class, and demonstration of skills.

  • $50/participant ​

Category 3 Certification teaches how to administer insulin and injectable treatments for metabolic glycemic disorders. A Category 1 certification must be valid and current in order to obtain a Cat 2.

  • Initial Cat 3 Course - 4 hour classroom instruction and demonstration

  • $75/participant

  • Annual Renewal - Category 3 certification is renewed every year and requires a 1.5-hour class, and demonstration of skills.

  • $50/participant ​

MANDT

MANDT

Prevention and de-escalation training and techniques. 

Mandt is a nationally recognized certification utilized by schools, hospitals and providers of ID/DD services since 1975. Mandt helps to develop a culture that provides for the emotional, psychological, and physical safety for everyone involved.
